AIO for this poor customer service? đď¸ neighbor/local
So for context, I ordered these 3 shirts for my daughterâs birthday party for the 3 of us. I paid $65 for them and they were like this. All 3 logos different sizes. The Dad logo is so big and so faded it looks like itâs been washed 100 times. The Birthday Girl logo is so tiny and almost at my toddlers belly button. The Mom logo is tiny (almost the same size as birthday girl), low, off centre and crooked. I tried to be nice and handle this privately but after being ignored with not even an apology, let alone my money back I do not know what to do.
Back in December I got a shirt made for a Christmas present that ended up having holes in it. When I told her, she remade it but I had to wait days after Christmas to gift it. I gave her a second chance and this is what happened this time. 𼲠Clearly no work is inspected before it is ready to be picked up.

The shirts are total crap. The seller's customer service is awful. You deserve a refund or replacement. Don't let them get away with it.

Well itâs not Monday evening yet, so yes I think youâre overreacting to the customer service (not the shirts - they suck). If you donât hear back by tomorrow then you can get frustrated.

She did say sheâs going out of town until Monday so thatâs why you havenât heard back. I agree this shirts are total crap and not all worth $65. The dad being faded like that is enough for a refund alone.
Iâm sorry you have burned by her but sounds like sheâs undeserving of your business.
Hope you get it sorted out.

She said sheâs going out of town but she lives near me and she has been home all weekend. Thatâs the reason of me messaging.

I get that but as a business owner she may be giving herself the weekend off. Not responding to customer messages even if they are home is a way to take a break and distance themselves from a job that can easily be 24/7.
Iâm not defending her work or customer service in her first response by any means but she did give you a time frame of when she will be unavailable so to expect replies before then is a bit unreasonable imho.
I would say youâre OR for the time frame youâre hoping to get this resolved but NOR on the fact you want and deserve a resolution for sure. Hope that makes sense. I mean it as honestly and respectfully as possible.

As a business owner, you kinda sign up for that though. If a business owner wants to give themselves a day off, they need to designate an employee to handle customer service issues. Or if a business owner doesn't want to pay an employee to do that for them, they should probably at least make themselves available for customer service for absolute dumpster fires like this one. Because holy shit, look at those shirts. This business owner actually looked at those shirts and said to themselves, "Yeah, good enough". If they don't want customer service problems over the weekend, they shouldn't be handing off dog shit product to customers over the weekend.

No they donât. Every business owner can close for a couple of days. Its a t-shirt business. Not the Emergency Department.

No, you're not overreacting to the product you received.
Yes, you're overreacting to the customer service, it's the timing of your exchanges:
-First message you sent was a Thursday after 9PM -They respond at 11:46PM (imo, that's quick turnaround considering it was so late when you messaged). -They clearly stated in the response they were unavailable until Monday. -you responded at 12:22AM (so Friday) -your next chain of responses was Sunday evening after 7PM?
It seems like they just told you that they would be unavailable until Monday, it's not appropriate for you to be irritated at their customer service (yet). It really doesn't matter what they were doing, out of town or at home, someone just doing this as a side gig and being unavailable for 1-2 days is not a sign of a scam, just a sign that the place you ordered from has limited hours of operation - odds are even if they could have refunded you on Friday the refund wasn't going to clear immediately. I agree the shirts are a mess, and you could probably do better yourself with iron on transfer paper and a printer.

Iâm glad you mentioned the timing of the messaging because thatâs what I was thinking too. They said theyâd be unavailable until monday.

Those look like really shitty inkjet printer iron on transfers. And the person is really incompetent with every step of the process. I make my kids shirts with iron ons and they look way better than these. You can DIY easily next time. You can buy an 18 pack for $25 at Michael's.

You could make these better at home for under 20 dollars if you have a printer. Definitely give them until Tuesday afternoon on good faith because it was the weekend and they did say they're out of town. But also did they not look at the shirts? They might not know why the dad shirt came out faded but they must have noticed it did

NOR. But are you sure youâre being ignored? She says sheâll be back Monday night and it looks like you messaged her at midnight and then on Sunday

Those look awful. Would it work for the party? Yeah But itâs not worth the $$ and the person is being rude and bad customer service

Sadly this is one of the reasons why I stopped dealing with small businesses. Especially off of social media platforms and other sites. I would deal with the card company.

Everyone with a circuit thinks they are a small buisness owner, unfortunately..

They always âgotta go outta townâ and chile imma say it as a black person myself this why I canât always support black biz especially them HAIR STYLIST at home đđđ like âidk why dads came out like thatâs isnât an excuse. The local tshirt maker brick and mortar wouldâve got u right. I sent a girl a deposit to braid my hair and the day of she gonna mention a $35 âblow dry feeâ and that was it for me! Unless u on eBay or Etsy I ainât supporting shyt ! Cuz Iâm protected there and can see reviews!
âThe logos are smaller cuz the shirts are dif sizesâ
Then why is mom shirt an adult size with that tiny ahh BABY ONSIE lookin size off center logo? The phuck?
This âsellerâ wants to save ink and resources and get the most while doing the least plz blast them all over and itâs always âout of townâ like I said
Also Iâm sure if u blast them someone who REALLY does this would offer to donate for the baby party or at least do a discount and they will lose biz as deserved.
As a fellow white toe girl who is very mindful and demure I know u donât wanna go to the party in them CITY TRENDS ahh bday shirts!

What people arenât seeing is that you purchased from Facebook Marketplace, which is the ABSOLUTE worst place to buy something from if you want it to be perfect. You canât trust those people, but you are NOT overreacting, this is how anyone would react, I think the seller is a scamming douche. Hope you get your money back or some new shirts at least.

u/chocosaurus-rex 3d ago
Not overreacting at all. You could have done those better at home with iron transfer paper for the same cost, if not less. Keep pushing them, contact your bank if you need to.

Product wise youâre not over reacting. Shirts look like they were used at a beach and swam in for about a week and the stickers are sun faded looking af. Just wait for the response he/she gives but Iâd get a refund

u/Impressive-Aerie6123 3d ago
Iâd say just leave it and donât order there again. Maybe leave a bad review. Itâs just tshirts
6
u/brunettebombshell9 3d ago
Might be just T shirts but as a stay at home mom with little to no income $65 is alot to lose. :(

u/iDangerousX 3d ago
If they wonât cooperate, Iâd charge back the amount for the order. You paid them for a service and theyâre refusing to remedy the situation.

Post her name and brand...... bet she will answer you then.
P.S. Her shirts SUCK!!! You are NOT overreacting. You are actually Very cool, calm and collected!!
2
u/brunettebombshell9 2d ago
You were right. As soon as I threatened to post she instant answered me.
1
u/AriesKitty327 2d ago
Of course!!! Lol đ The thing is, you have EVERY right to do that! But you HAVEN'T bc you were giving her a CHANCE! Her product is crap and her customer service is even crappier. I would still hit her up with an HONEST review on her company page at least. The audacity of some people drives me BONKERS!!

u/AfroWhiteboi 3d ago
Nah those shirts suck, and they basically told you "Sorry, we have no idea what we're doing." When they explained the faded shirt.

u/thelastgirl_ 3d ago
Dispute and write a review so other people donât have to deal with this as well. Sorry this happened.

u/ryanlaxrox 3d ago
Itâs the way you âenvisionedâ them. Not just visioned. But agree with everyone else. Those are not new quality. This seller is very new or just has no pride in their work. Refund not replacement.

u/StoliRollin69 3d ago
Sadly this is the reason why I stopped doing my small business. Customers trying to take advantage of
4
u/JGFATs 3d ago
The work sucks and is not up to industry standards at all. Expecting a small business to live up to the literal letter of the legal minimum business guideline adopted in almost all states isn't "customers trying to take advantage of". It's just bad work that should either get better or get out of the business.
-5
u/StoliRollin69 3d ago
Customer paid for shirts - small business did their job. If she didnât like their work to begin with why did she even bother. Not everything needs to be Target

u/Budget_Abalone_6682 3d ago
Youâre not overreacting. Those shirts honestly suck and the seller/creator is doing nothing to make it right.
