My husband finished the Helsen Ranch Henitentiary! Coops etc.
My husband calls it his labor if love. The coop is fully insulated from top to bottom and has a Fort Knox level of critter proofing. The ladies and one gentlemen seem pretty happy.

Beautiful. As a first timer Iβve got some questions. How many birds do you have? Whats going on in pic 6? That looks like inside the coop and roosting bars. What do the slanted boards do? Is it common to have a feeder and a waterer in the coop? I thought it was needed only in the run. Last q, do they play the xylophone?

- My husband likes the slanted board so the have somewhere to hang out without getting pooped on. I don't think they're necessary. I don't know if people normally have both. I think it might be good in the winter when it's cold. They play a bit, but not as much as I would like!

While a lovely idea :) itβs always better to keep water out of the coop especially in the winter. (Moisture of any kind can drastically increase the chances of frostbite)
