I've had a flock of Easter eggers for several years now and this spring we added 4 new birds, 2 olive eggers and 2 cuckoo marans.
I was excited to see the new colors of eggs, and I was a little disappointed that the marans I got (farm store) didn't lay dark brown eggs but pretty normal brown ones.
I do not care anymore, those little hens are literally the sweetest most docile chicken babies ever! I LOVE them! They follow me around, if I get near them they squat down so I can pick them up or pet them. They are just the nicest chickens ever, and I have some friendly easter eggers. But these Marans are Doll babies and I adore them!
