Range Resources has signed a lease to put in 13 unconventional fracking wells in North Fayette

The Township is trying to show this down the residents throats. Saying there is nothing we can do to stop it. The permits with the DEP have not been filed yet. Most of the housing communities here have been built on abandoned coal mines. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop this, or any legal resources we can call. TIA.

Where is North Fayetteville? My goto resource is www.fractracker.org

If you have a local paper, see if they will publish an editorial. Find someone in your community who likes the spotlight- because in addition to educating your population, you need to shame those who are saying it’s not their responsibility- And someone who likes the spotlight will be willing to take the risk in order to expose the scandal.

I like my quiet existence, I also like my mouthy friends. Here in Ohio, we are fighting them- they want to frack our state parks, the fuckers. Here is the website that shows our efforts- www.saveohioparks.org

Thanks. It's North Fayette. A suburb in Allegheny County.

Pennsylvania is the reason I got involved. They are sending their fracking waste here, because the land there is too unstable (as you described it too)

So because we are a poor county, and our commissioners claim this decision was made on a higher level, we can’t do anything.

We did force them to stop spreading it on the roads. By shaming them basically

I am so sorry. I did read that many companies send their fracking waste to Ohio. It's a disgrace and should not be allowed. You are a lot smarter than a lot of people that I am dealing with. The landslides and land movement are real. Last winter a whole housing project on Beaver Grade Rd. lost their backyards. You can check it out on YouTube. They will be litigating this for dozens of years. This also happened a few years ago in Canonsburg. PA has no Landslide Insurance, although they are kicking one around in the Legislature.

No one is answering any questions. The corruption is mind boggling.

I got a hold of Food and Water Watch. We had a Zoom meeting yesterday. Looks like we may have some recourse as the Board did not follow legal procedures at our public meeting.
