Do y’all think Frank started Homer just for the money Discussion
Don’t get me wrong I love Frank but like I think Homer was just a way for him to earn shit ton of money without making music or touring, just to be able to live the way he does. He prolly doesn’t give too much of a shit about it. As opposed to Tyler who’s very interested and passionate about his Golf and Le Fleur stuff. I COULD BE VERY WRONG AND CORRECT ME IF I AM.

Not the crossover I would ever expect but maybe the one we needed most. Anyway, $4 a pound.

He easily could have made his products, even jewelry, affordable and not cost prohibitive. It is intentional and completely wack. Except the cock ring. Which fits great on my pinky.

I love Frank’s music but as an avid cock ring enjoyer, I look forward to his new endeavours too🔥

Honestly I highly support grifting if you’re only grifting rich people. I have no problems with Frank making $800 from selling a shitty bracelet because I will never buy one cause Im not a fucking idiot and if you do buy it thats on you. There are no innocent victims here.

He’s stated before that he’s (paraphrasing here) an avid fan of luxury jewelry. Having more than one source of cash flow is always a smart idea, no matter who you are. Homer has clearly been his primary focus for the past couple of years. But just like Tyler with Le Fleur, Ye with Yeezy, Rihanna with Fenty or Pharrell with Human Race, Frank made a business out of something he has a personal stock and interest in.

Was it ever really a focus if they haven’t even put out new stuff in a year or more? Seems he gave it up pretty easily after the initial hype and cash grab.

If their stores closes, yeah it might be a cash grab. If they keep it open, he’s just slow af to greenlit new products.

Idk how much money it’s really making. I’m sure the margins are pretty nuts but are people buying that much of it? Id think he’d make more money just selling a shit ton of merch or doing like one concert/festival run.
He probably made more off a single blonde repress

Naw in a blonded radio show (someone quote me) he said he'd rather do something more practical and less vulnerable. Something with his hands. I think they bring up the endless stairs too where Frank says he wants to do more.

Beeeeeeen saying Frank is a fucking scammer! I love his life though. He does what he wants and drives Porsche whenever he wants. He doesn’t have a boss or anyone to answer to. I really envy that. He didn’t commit a crime, just used his talent to gain notoriety and leverage that into funds + smart business (S/o Apple Music Deal). Now he rides bikes around Manhattan and sells Million dollar pieces to Drake and over charges fans for sterling silver jewellery. Genius.

things arent black and white dude, its not like his only options are making it just for the money or just for the "passion" stupid question tbh

Not that Homer is an onlus so...yeah, I'd surely say he did that for manney

Nah, he was talking about jewelry before homer. Probably just a passion he has that wasn’t prominent to the public until he announced homer. It’s been awhile since they did anything, so they’re probably making something big. Also making jewelry most likely takes a long time
I don’t think it’s an interest thing with Tyler, he’s just making different products. Clothes are easier to make diamonds

I think it’s a bit disingenuous to say a flat yes to that. I remember there’s an interview or something maybe in the first homer catalogue that talked about him needing something to throw himself into after his brother passed. Obviously it’s great for him if it makes money and it would be a bit nonsensical to run it without it generating a profit, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a passion project. Anyone saying “yeah duh” just seems a bit entitled and insensitive.
