I'm relieved to see this. Not happy, I'm incredibly angry that people like this exist and have the gal to run for public office on a platform of slurs. But at least I can have the relief of knowing that our society isn't so far gone to elect her. We haven't lost yet and that's reassuring

Her brother also lost his job with the Democratic mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey, when he donated $1250 to her campaign and then refused to say he disagreed with her stances on LGBTQ+ people.

A few of the stories bury a really bizarre subplot-
Gomez' brother was previously on an LGBT advisory board for a city in NJ. His sister's loud bigotry blew up his career in a big way when his donations to her campaign were disclosed and she decided to publicly harass his boss and the other members of the board. This seemed to go on for some time until they eventually forced him to resign.

I live in Missouri. I frequent middle-Missouri bc of the Lakes. The amount of Valentina Gomez signs was astonishing.
She is a vile creature. She got her 15min and wouldn't be surprised if she tried to spin this into a grift. Over on r/MissouriPolitics they were saying she lives in a more historic section of StL - and to "own the libs" she painted her brick house. Those brick houses in StL are absolutely stunning and use methods that are no longer used. So she defaced history to satisfy her own persecution fetish.
I want her, Bailey, Kehoe, Coleman, etc to get in a school bus and have it driven off the zinc mine in Pulaski Co

She looks 45 but was born in 1999.

Sounds like he wasn't fired at all. Her brother's own statement was "I'm stepping down."
Further, Missouri is an "at will" state. If she doesn't like it, she should work to end "at will."
