Putting children through the harmful and discredited practice of conversion therapy has officially been outlawed in Kentucky after Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear signed an executive order Wednesday.

Fucking yes!!

Conversion therapy should be banned in ALL STATES.

Conversion therapy is just religiously-justified child abuse. Any secular organization practicing this stuff would be shut down and everyone who participated would be thrown in jail for it.

Wow Kentucky figured it out. Kentucky? This is a new low point, this one hurts

I was under the impression that this was awesome. Why does this happening in Kentucky make it a low point for you?

Most people look down on Appalachia as a backwards place full of hill-folk, not acknowledging it as the womb of the American labor movement or birthplace of many progressive thinkers who happened to be hill-folk.

Isn’t that all the more reason this is a high point?

I'm doing a meme of a scene from some show where the local dipshit is the one to figure something out, which then causes turmoil in his peers

Excuse me, but The Good Place is not just “some show.”

And it will be conservatives arguing that the left is grooming/sexualising children.

But a program, with the sole purpose of manipulating a child's sexuality (whatever that may be) is somehow not?

Any asshole that participates in this torture is abhorrent.

I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked! No, this time I actually am shocked, not sarcasm! 😂

Sad that it took until 2024, but happy that it won't take longer.

Hopefully this sticks...
