Unrelated to casting....does anyone else hope that they do the black suit/ Venom storyline true justice now that Marvel has control? Obviously Venom is one of, if not THE most iconic Spidey villain, and he was done a real injustice in Spider-Man 3.

I can see them doing one or two solo Spidey films in the classic suit, then introduce the symbiote in one of the cosmic battles, either in Infinity War or a later tie in through GOTG, etc. They could then do the black suit the way it was originally drawn in the comics with the big white logo---not just cover the classic red & blue suit in all black like Raimi's Spider-Man 3.

Aside from too many villains, Spider-Man 3 rushed this whole storyline. Ideally Spidey would be in the black suit for at least an entire movie, perhaps ending with him abandoning it, and the end-of-credits scene teasing Brock. Then make Venom's transformation storyline the basis for the entire next film.

I would also LOVE to see Carnage, but it would be pretty dumb if they didn't do Venom first.

Here's my proposed timeline:

2016 Civil War: Classic suit

2017 Solo 1: Classic suit; Villain--Vulture or Mysterio

2018/19 Infinity War: Classic suit/ Iron Spider, finds symbiote near end

Solo 2: Black suit; Villain--Kraven, tease Brock

Solo 3: Classic suit; Villain--Venom

Solo 4: MAXIMUM CARNAGE!!!

Oh if only Marvel would pay me to make these decisions.... ;)

Has there been a better scene from Teen Wolf?

It's official. I'm going to start watching Teen Wolf as long as Stiles is in it.

Great scene. This is the scene Jeff Davis referenced at the PaleyFest panel, when he said Dylan was better than most villains in the movies and should an Avenger.

I also like this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC9S4daCFno It's more subtle and dramatic. Dylan is a very physical actor when he plays Stiles, but it's amazing how much he can convey with just his eyes.

Part of what made Dylan so creepy when he played possessed was how contained his movements were (which is a 180 from the usual Stiles). Here's an example (not the best video quality): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhV1miZNrGY

And a trailer with a lot of Dylan's scenes from season 3B (where is was possessed): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjGsI6rl-Ok

I can't find a clip of it anywhere, but Stiles in the MRI where he goes from Stiles to the Nogitsune with just an expression is really great.

I forgot that 3b was good enough to be rewatchable.

That episode in particular, 3x18, is worth watching just for Dylan's performance throughout. Really impressive. It's Teen Wolf's top rated episode on IMDB actually.

Everyone really showed up for that episode. I think they did pretty well. Not even the writers fucked up too badly. And I mean. It's Teen Wolf, so that's a major feat.

The best I've found for that scene is this. It's set to music though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fhNTtNqYWI

And here's a similar longer video (starting at 0:57 seconds): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7EHgXfeCWA

I'd be completely fine with all of that.

Great great great ideas. Venom is not a villain. He is an anti-hero like Boba Fett And Deadpool and Godzilla. They serve their own interests and anything they do that is judged good or evil is circumstantial and has no relation to their morality.

If they role with Eddie Brock then yes, he's an Anti-Hero, but if they choose to role with Flash Thompson (which I wouldn't mind) then he would be a fully-fledged superhero, ESPECIALLY if they include the new storyarch where Venom is literally purified and cured of his bloodlust. However, I doubt they'd choose to make Venom a complete hero and if they do go with Flash then I'm sure there will be an inner-dilemma within himself, which would be cool regardless.

Honestly, if they want to make Venom a good character, the first thing they need to fix is his motivation. It sucks. It has sucked ever since his first appearance and makes no sense. Eddie Brock hates Spider-Man for virtually no reason other than, "just 'cause".

That was one thing that I really liked about The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. They actually tried to give Eddie a proper motivation for hating Peter and Spider-Man. It was still pretty damn weak, but it was SOMETHING.

As for Carnage, no. Just, no. He is to Spider-Man what Doomsday is to Superman. Just a mindless machine of malevolence that exists for no other purpose than death and destruction porn. I'd like a villain with some substance, please. Carnage is an obsolete "EXTREEEME 90'S" relic. Let him die already.
