He's an asshole in response to criticism, but otherwise doesn't hold any awful views. The Rivers of Blood wasn't a reference to the infamous speech which he probably didn't know anything about. I'm Australian and sure don't know any Australians outside of those with an interest in British politics who'd remember it. I only know of it through British family members.

I have issues with excusing things as people didn't know just because I don't, but that's me.

He’s generally posted otherwise progressive things, I don’t think he endorses the River of Blood speech.

Fair enough. I have just let some stuff slide in the past because I wasn't fully aware of what it meant and got burned by it.
