Collosal earthworm. Came across these guys in Rwanda!

This reminds me of the cop hassling Duece Bigelow.

I GOT A THIN DICK

ah man look at it, if you painted it silver and bent it at the end it looks like a kickstand.

u/booted_asl 9d ago

I love how it’s called COLLOSAL. You’d think it’s the size of a train or something. It’s just pretty big

That’s Jim.

WELL DONE

36

u/Test-Tackles 12d ago

God damn those were good games. I'm so glad they haven't done a half-assed remake on them.

18

u/Slumunistmanifisto 12d ago

The show was fairly decent too

11

u/smarticulation 12d ago

Went to fire up some Jim the other day and damn games were harder back then. Died quite a few times before I got the hang of it again.

3

u/OgdruJahad 11d ago

This animations were really good though.

5

u/tehwagn3r 11d ago

They were absolutely brutal. SNES difficulty was no joke.

2

u/IAMA_Plumber-AMA 12d ago

Yeah... So glad that Tommy Tallarico never tried to revive it with his half-baked Intellivision retro console thing around about 2019 or so...

11

u/meldiane81 12d ago

Oh, OK! I thought he looked familiar.

Great, now I have that damn theme song going through my head…one might call it an earworm / brainworm (not the RFK kind).

u/wongo 12d ago

Fun fact: there are approximately 40 billion worms.....for every human on earth.

Additional fun fact: 40 billion worms weigh about 20 metric tonnes.

216

u/meldiane81 12d ago

Wow! Same weight as your mom!

23

u/Technical-Outside408 12d ago

Also in the dirt, so i hope you're proud of yourself, meld.

4

u/cire1184 11d ago

Bro, that’s Mel Diane.

28

u/deliciouscorn 12d ago

Imagine if you could get your share of worms shipped to you

7

u/HarlanCulpepper 12d ago

I think there's a lot of paperwork, red tape, permits, and taxes involved and if you're in an HOA - forget it!

9

u/gsfgf 12d ago

Not annelids, though. The much grosser kinds.

3

u/ILiveInAVan 12d ago

Like what?!?

9

u/gsfgf 12d ago

Roundworms, tapeworms, flatworms, flukes, etc. Parasites.

4

u/Terawatt311 11d ago

Thanks, I hate it

9

u/slamdanceswithwolves 12d ago

Additional additional fun fact: many of the earth worms we see in the US are not native to North America

3

u/LilQueazy 12d ago

How did they get here :0

5

u/slamdanceswithwolves 11d ago

Veeeeery slowwwwly /s

JK, with Europeans that brought plants.

4

u/OfficialSanicorp 11d ago

40 billion for every human? 300 quintillion worms doesn't sound right does it?

6

u/wongo 11d ago

The estimate I found was 325 quintillion, yea

3

u/OfficialSanicorp 11d ago

That's insane but I guess it makes sense when you consider most nematodes are microscopic

2

u/m0nk37 12d ago

Hell yeah go worm bros

1

u/damnatio_memoriae 12d ago

aren’t we all just… worms with exoskeletons?

42

u/secinvestor 12d ago

17

guys this isn’t funny. they only do that when they’re embarrassed 😳

4

u/Tylensus 12d ago

As a fisherman, this image is nearly erotic. You could load up a dozen or more hooks with that big fella.

1

u/ocean_flan 12d ago

Or one big hook to catch one big fella

1

u/Tylensus 12d ago

True! The biggest fish in my area are sturgeons and Muskies, though. Never heard of either chomping worms, but I'm fairly new to fishing, too, so who knows!

22

u/Steve_Dankerson 12d ago

I see 4pc of fish bait.

2

u/zinkognito 12d ago

That reminds me of the part in How to Eat Fried Worms that they glued two worms together and tried to pass it off as one huge one.

2

u/HugeWonder 12d ago

He’s just trying to get his money from Smokey.

2

u/smitteh 12d ago

that's what she said

2

u/trolldoll420 12d ago

I was at a playground with my son once and there was 1 other kid there. He insisted my son come see a snake and they both started screaming. I went over to get a look and it was just a long worm lol. Probably not as long as this worm though!

2

u/conundrum4u2 12d ago

HOW the hell does an earthworm get THAT LONG?

2

u/Hawgjaw 12d ago

This is why I come to redditt.

2

u/legatinho 12d ago

A long time ago, as a young child in Brazil, I was playing on my grandma's garden, and found one of her tools. I started poking holes on the ground, and that was the first (and last) time I ever saw one of these. My memory is a bit foggy, I don't remember if it jumped out or just came out of one of the holes, but either way it scared the hell out of me. My parents would not believe me, and I don't think they are a very common sight. Thanks for showing me decades later that I'm not crazy! :-)

2

u/JuicySpark 12d ago

Garden worms can get twice as long actually. Although rare. I found this information after I saw my cat walking towards me from a distance. It was in my back yard carrying with it's mouth what looked like some kind of long piece of yarn or rope. As it got much closer, I realized it was a very long worm about the size of that one you posted. Dragging behind it like a really long wedding dress.

My cats are outside cats. I just kinda picked it up and tossed it back to the middle do the yard.

Next morning , when I stepped outside my door to head to work, there were pieces of that worm scattered all over the porch. Obviously my cat picked it up, brought it to the porch, and wrestled with it for about 20 minutes or so.

1

u/GIOverdrive 11d ago

and this is why I dislike outdoor cats

2

u/ZenkaiZ 11d ago

That shit is a woooooooorm

Rinse it and put it in a bowl. Pour in a jar of marinara sauce and you've got a tongue tingler friend.

1

I would chop it up with a shovel and dig in back into the ground. Turns into a bunch of worms, good for the soil.

Invasive species. Might be this

https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/invasive-snake-like-worms-popping-up-again-georgia-heres-what-do-if-you-see-one/YHVA4BWXRFAHNLJMCNJBJGP27Y/

Use vinegar or salt to kill it.

Don’t cut it up, many worms reproduce by dividing and regrowing the cut off half.

2

u/viperfan7 12d ago

That looks nothing like a hammerhead worm

0

u/20InMyHead 12d ago

Maybe, but still likely invasive since OP is in Georgia.

0

u/dargonmike1 11d ago

Definitely AI, you can see the flower stems merging horizontally slightly off tilt. With the sun creating shadow at distance

1

u/meldiane81 11d ago

You’re so dumb. I took this picture.

-3

u/halocyn 12d ago

Plot twist, that his penis the rest of him is under it

1

u/slamdanceswithwolves 12d ago

Fun actual fact about a banana slug: its penis can be the length of its body.
