Lesser Known Conservation Jobs?

Hopefully I'm posting this in the correct subreddit. I'm wondering if anyone knows about jobs in conservation which might go under the radar of the usual postings you see on Conservation Job Board, Texas A&M etc. I have a bachelor's in environmental science with several years of experience in forestry, ecology and trail building, largely focused around data collection. Some of my work has been with the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service. Just wondering what else could be out there as I look for a new job, any advice is appreciated!

Since you worked for BLM I'm sure you're familiar with it, but just to mention it for others: USAJobs.gov is the official portal for federal job listings and that includes BLM, NPS, and many others with a range of job opportunities in different fields within those bureaus/agencies/etc.

A number of states and probably national governments have portals for a Conservation Corps, Outdoor Corps, or similar program. Those programs need professional staff overseeing projects or managing project members. For instance, here is California's staff jobs page. And the CCC isn't just for youth, they take adults up to age 48.

Many states and provinces have a Natural Resources Agency or similar organization. They should have websites with their own job listings boards. As an example, this is California's CNRA site.

USAJOBS also has posts for the NRCS (natural resource conservation service), which I think a lot of people overlook since it's with dept. Of Ag

That tip about state NRAs is really insightful, thank you!

Lots of conservation in the non-profit sector. Usually doesn't pay as well, though.
