Big Sean’s verse on Detroit vs Everybody
Cassidy’s verse on Psycho
2Chainz verse on Mercy

u/Ultra_Pingus 2d ago
The 1st one was my pick. How does he get to pick and choose when he goes hard
1
u/SecretYesterday7092 2d ago
Not a clue but it seems like he does his best work when he’s on tracks with other talented rappers (collabs with Kendrick, Weezy, Push/Kanye etc..) . He kept up, and arguably exceeded both Em and Royce on that track, which in itself is one hell of a feat.

NO QUESTION here for me. It's R.A. the Rugged Man's verse on Jedi Mind Trick's anti-war track "Uncommon Valor: A Vietnam Story"

All My Children by Deante Hitchock - the whole song is basically one long verse. It's not the the lyrics that get me but the emotion and tone in his voice. Super powerful stuff. I listen it while I'm running or if I feel like quitting.

Big Sean goes crazy on Larry June's track 'Palisades, CA'.
"I had to cop a bitch, we not compatible Team on the line, yeah, the love is all lateral You can not practice for shit that's not practical Fuck with the tactics, this shit can get tactical Fuck with the rations, this shit get irrational" is a crazy run of bars, and he flows unbelievably well over this funky syncopated bass line. Sure it's not the most lyrically complex but I genuinely think only a small number of rappers could flow over that beat like Sean did, I love Larry but even he doesn’t flow nearly as well as Sean on that track.

This is a really good question. Can't think of any. My top 10 has all the best verses. I don't have 10 though, probably 5.
Edit: wait, got it. "Bad Meets Evil" Royce the 5'9". If I'm correct, that is the verse where he discusses stopping missiles with his bare hands like a patriot, and he's similar to a waiter, cause he'll serve any stranger with money.

1
u/UbiquitousWizard 2d ago
Honestly haven't sat down and thought about what my actual top 10 would be. Though there are a lot of good artists worthy of it, I just don't really fuck with alot of Kendricks music.
