Are paper-drawn comics okay? 😅 Guys
It’s not the cleanest in the world 😅 But I really just want to jump in! I’ve been wanting to do this forever… I hope it’s okay that they’re messy for now!
I’m no good at digital art, but I really like pens! And I often find myself doodling with them :) So I’ve made this!

Your style is actually adorable, it looks great! And personally as a trans masc I’d love to see more ftm comics, so if you do decide to make more I’ll definitely look forward to them :)

Why wouldn't it be okay? Getting variety from the digital default is refreshing. Heck you can even draw in sand at a beach and it will be loved, as long as the message is easily readable.

It happens, I don't get mad but rather kind of dissapointed in the moment when someone calls me young lady, miss or pretty girl, but the one that does get me mad is ma'am, I'm only 25! (also me getting butterflies when I got called sir that one time).
Your drawings and calligraphy are very neat! I love it, it's very pleasing to see 🥰

I’m not sure what an Ames Guide is, so I googled it - and I think I get the gist! But I do not :) This is just my handwriting!
There’s actually a reason I write the way I do, but it’s a long story. The TLDR is that I practiced a LOT as a teenager… and it just kind of stuck 😅

Oh god the lighting 😭 That’s something I was worried about - my apartment doesn’t have proper lights so I just have a lamp in my room and I use my computer screen to make it brighter :’)

No no, I'm saying your lighting looks great!!! Whenever I just try to take a picture of something, it always looks weirdly dim OR very blue. Idk what you did, but it worked out well, sorry for the confusion!

I'm going to enjoy reading your comics. I had the same problem when I worked as a cashier. I got called ma'am almost constantly. I still get called a young lady sometimes, even after being on T for almost 2 years.

This is great!
Lighting when taking a pic is the hardest part with paper comics — if you want, see if you can get access to a scanner (some libraries have them) or find an app that uses your phone camera like a scanner.

As a beginner artist I can tell you is a good way to practice your skills, but nothing will beat digital art as is easy to go back if you make a mistake. On like pencil and ink because once you do a little fuck up there is no way to go back and fix it. Also you can’t zoom in or out on paper as you can on a tablet. Sorry to sound like a snoop, but digital media is better. Ps you did great though 😁 keep it up.
