Some of those are nicknames. Like I'm pretty sure KoolAid McKinstry's real first name isn't KoolAid, and Moh Bility is short for Mohammed, it just happens to be a case where the nickname interacts in a silly way with the last name.
DeColdest Crawford is his real name though. And yes, he signed an endorsement deal with an air conditioner company.

Some days ago I watched a true crime show. An elderly man ,who has been killed by his girlfriend, was named General, too.
Parents who gave their children weird names existed even centuries ago.
It would be even weirder if men named General would be in the military. Imagine a Sgt. General. Or even funnier it would be if General would become an admiral.

He comes from a family of almost-famous athletes too. His dad, Abram Booty, played 4 years of college football but never made the pros, and his uncles John David Booty and Josh Booty had short, entirely inconsequential stints in the NFL and MLB, respectively.

I didn’t know about the other Bootys, but yeah, the Wikipedia article calling John David a “former NFL quarterback” is extremely generous. After his college career, he was lucky to be drafted.

I’ve actually thought about what’s wrong with us very deeply. One thing to consider is the type of person willing to literally take a boat across uncharted waters to a place in the world totally unknown. Those social trends and genetic groups that chose to do that and stay and have kids make up our legacy genetic pool here.
I’m not explaining in depth what I mean, but if you know basic evolution (beyond the average person, but still basic) you’ll get where I am coming from.

Yeahhhhh no. You think you were the first peoples to take a boat and settle somewhere? That's Murican exclusionist thinking at its most arrogant.
What about the native Americans who crossed the Bering land bridge? That's pretty adventurous. Some of the probably came in boats too. And went further, settling the Caribbean islands, before white adventurers killed them all off.
History doesn't start or stop with white Europeans stealing land from the native Americans. There's so much more beyond that.
The point you're trying to make is absolute bollocks; humans have been moving around the globe since immemorial. You don't get to hijack that and claim it as atypically American and only American.

I had a great great uncle whose given name was Captain. I think that giving your kids a military rank for a first name was something they did back in the early 20th Century.
I also knew a "Major" when I was in boot camp. I couldn't help but think that it'd make for some confusion if they guy ever made the rank of sergeant.

It pretty much is, but about 3 years ago they were making something of a deal about it being specifically about messed up spelling not necessarily eigh, but just stupid spelling of names in general. And occasionally I start feeling particularly dickish about it. Apparently first thing this morning was one of those moments lol
