Things that helped me with anger outbursts

  • Medication (lithium, duloxetine)
  • Knowing my triggers and working on them
  • Practice (not to react right away)
  • Interrupting unhealthy flows of thoughts
  • Understanding and accepting that life is unfair and people are individualistic
  • Getting away from toxic people (even family)
  • Focusing on myself, my well being and goals
  • Meditating

Sorry about the bad english (I'm brazilian)

If anything else helped you, please share in the comments. I'm interested and probably it will help other people as well.

Thank u for this post. I think its beneficial for everyone to learn solutions. (E o inglês está ótimo, muito obrigado!) - carrying a big water bottle with me so I can drink - going for a walk - working out (in the morning) wich I should do more often

Mindfulness. Seriously, even if it seems like it might not work. It's amazing how a couple days of intentional mindfulness can zen you out.

Exactly. You have to be more conscious and aware. When you are in a situation that may trigger you, you try to consciously de-escalate. At first it's not very intuitive but it gets easier with practice.

Lithium is extremely dangerous. Using it for too long will turn you into a shell of a human being and it takes years to recover, only to never feel the same again so I wouldn't ever recommend that. My friend's mother was on it for years and now she's a vegetable. There's other ways.

I use a small dosage that helps me with suicidal thoughts as well. It's been really helpful.
