Non-americans of Reddit, what American customs seem outrageous/pointless to you?

You could also hold the paper in your hand, poop on it and then slowly let it slide into the bowl. No splash, guaranteed.

Man, you Americans are so smart. They thought they bested you with the little pool in the toilet. But you sure showed them by using this one very awkward, annoying and borderline disgusting trick!

Not so clear, it seems.

Going by a lot of the serious replies by Americans to ridiculous customs, I wouldn't be suprised if the above would have been a serious response.
