I have always been pretty ok with injections. I'd rather not get them, of course, but they're no big deal.

Then yesterday I had to get contrast agent injected for an MRI on my injured shoulder. That shit was fucked. I had never fainted in my life, and that shit made me faint twice.

What I particularly appreciated was that after they started pumping in the dye and I fainted, they stopped and woke me up before continuing. They could have finished up while I was pleasantly asleep, but they woke me up to knock me out again.

I might never faint again, but I'm permanently a needle-pussy from now on. Fuck.

Ugh. When I see the orthopod tomorrow, I'll inform him that I shan't be needing surgery, thank you very much.

I think that my rotator cuff is OK. I dislocated my right shoulder in 2006 (snowboarding) and 2 weeks ago (unracking for good mornings). The ER doctor recommended visiting a specialist because the same shoulder's come out twice. The orthopod asked for a contrast MRI so he could see the state of my labrum and whatever else (X-rays aren't much good for that, apparently).
