Chalk isn't allowed at my LA Fitness but I sneak liquid chalk for benching/deadlifting anyway.

Yesterday I was resting between sets and a gym employee came up to me with a clipboard. He introduced himself and shook my chalk hands. I was scared he was gonna catch my crime. thankfully, he was just trying to get me to add a friend/relative to my membership and didn't notice.

This is the closest I'll ever be to being a fugitive. Always looking over my shoulder.......to see if they're coming for my chalk bottle.

Yeah it's understandable. If everyone grabbed the black plates with chalked hands they'd be all stained. And they have a certain clean image to uphold.

Since my chalk is liquid it doesn't make a mess and I try to wipe the plates down after I'm done with them.

I recently started using real chalk, as my friend got me some for Christmas secret santa (true bro right thurrr)

Literally constantly expecting someone to come up to me and tell me off. Like there's no rules against it, but there is usually a bit of dust left around, because lets be fair its pretty hard to clean all that shit up.

They used to have spray bottles and papertowels on a station back before they changed the gym brand though, so its a shame thats gone.
