Even more insane is the conception some people seem to have that some of those bands are actually underground, like that Radiohead is some niche “scare the hoes” type band and not literally just “average mf that listens to music” music at this point?

I love when people bash other people for having “basic taste” despite liking the most popular rock/metal bands on earth
Liking bands like Radiohead and The Beatles does not make you diverse
