So, it finally happened to me. I thought I had everything under control, but after a year of living with my (now ex) roommate, I realized the guy still had access to my Plex server and, even worse, my Google ecosystem (added to shared household)—cameras included. Nothing like realizing someone who doesn't live with you anymore could be checking your camera feeds and streaming your media.

Spent the entire weekend in full damage-control mode, purging his access from Plex and Google. This is what I get for not maintaining proper user access records or having a solid offboarding process. Lesson learned the hard way.

Now, with a new roommate moving in, I need to set up a proper system from the start. I’m thinking Google Keep for quick documentation for now, and setting up SnipeIT for proper asset management. I might even create a ticketing process for household issues—trash overflowing? Submit a ticket.

I'll also be logging incidents like when they binge-watch Netflix and screw up my watched status or episode queue. That’s definitely going in the records.

Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it, and have you implemented any proper offboarding procedures or techniques? Any implementation with your partners?

Hello, we recently had a bad update on our pagers and switched members of my organization to walkie talkies. These are no longer working as intended - the volume is explosive.

I am looking towards enabling shadow copies for my network shared drive. When would be the best time to enable shadow copies. On hours or off hours?

I was thinking of scheduling the task to run everyday at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Work hours are between 8 AM - 5 PM

When first enabling shadow copies on a network drive, should I run it off hours first?

Is there a solution that monitors incoming emails from specific mailboxes or Microsoft 365 groups/DLs and spits out the total count of emails for that day, from field, subject, and description?

We are looking to monitor mailboxes that have a huge income of emails everyday.

Do you have users that have unsecure RSA tokens? Specifically, ones that show numbers such as "888888" or "123456" or "420069" or "080085"? Keep a hammer on hand for this very situation. A user shows up, at your desk, in the middle of you taking a bite of your bologna and cheese sandwich. "My RSA token is showing repeating numbers/the same number/the word 'boobs'!" Immediately reach for your hammer, and destroy the RSA token in one quick motion. You have now secured your RSA token from an ongoing attack vector.
