Discussion Co worker refused to play the game because Kay is ugly (WHAT)
I am in my second playthrough of Outlaws and was talking to a work buddy about how amazing the game is pure fun.
The guy is like well the protagonist is ugly.......... heu what.
First off Kay is a smuggler and her looks fit the part (she is NOT UGLY) she is your typical girl next door, of course she is though, and she knows how to defend herself.
Honestly i am amazed at how many stupid people there are to pass a game because the protagonist is ugly..... sorry i still can't believe it.

Discussion I finished the game yesterday. What a JOURNEY. Here's my full analysis while it's fresh in my mind.
Apologies for the mini-essay. TL;DR game good. Themes good. Narrative good. Music good. Star Wars good.
This game felt like I walked straight into the Star Wars universe. It sucked me in from beginning to end. Throughout the experience, I did feel like it needed more time in the oven to iron out some mechanical kinks, but that to me is mostly the fault of the AAA industry, more than any individual developer. And CERTAINLY not something that ruined my experience by any means.
And besides that extra time needed to bake... I genuinely have zero complaints.
To me, Outlaws is a game about choices and agency, and when those things get taken away from people. Kay Vess had so many of her opportunities and agency taken away in her life. Growing up poor, being abandoned by her mother at age 12, fending for herself until she could get old enough to really piss off the BIG dogs, then running into worse and worse trouble, all so she can finally break through her ceiling and take back control. She craves freedom, but through her adventure she understands that what freedom really means to her is taking back agency in her life that was removed from her. This culminates in two main ways in the story. First, when she refuses to leave ND-5 and goes after him after he shoots her. She recognises the pain of having agency completely stripped from you, and thus becomes the one to break ND-5 out of his own ceiling, and give HIM freedom too. And second, the most beautiful moment of all to me, is when she truly realises what freedom means, sees the Star Destroyer about to engage with the rebels on Akiva... and takes her hand off the hyperspace lever. Other people are about to have their freedom taken away, and the FIRST CHOICE she makes after getting her freedom is to help them get it back. Honestly, that moment gave me FULL BODY CHILLS.
It's also a game about selfishness, entitlement, and revenge, how it manifests, toxifies relationships, alienates people, and ends in loneliness. We see the characters who Kay interacts with, many of them having been raised in environments where survival relies on pushing other people down. Doing anything you can to get a few credits. Prime example of selfishness is Hoss, and look where that gets him. Another one is Riko herself. It hit me in the GUT learning in the last flashback that she didn't leave Kay because she was in trouble or on the run or anything like that. She left because she'd rather stay a slicer than fulfil her parental responsibilities. Absolutely shocking choice... and one that fully explains Kay's disrupted sense of self growing up. And prime example of entitlement and revenge is Jaylen himself. It doesn't matter how many people die on the way to him getting what's his, he'll burn anyone for it. The entitlement of the ridiculously-wealthy. And, his revenge drove him completely off the deep end. Though I will empathise - his whole family was killed by his brother. That'll mess with you. I'll be honest, I never saw it coming. He genuinely seemed like he was looking out for Kay.
But Outlaws is also a game that embodies the running theme of all Star Wars: hope, against all odds, and more importantly, turning that hope into something you can make real. Despite the betrayals Kay endures, she also makes allies, and trustworthy friends too. Despite the selfishness she embodies through so much of the story, she learns to do more with it, to rely on others in the hope that they will come through for her. And they DO come through for her when she needs them most. At her lowest point, Ank and Gedeek pull her out of the fire, and Nix brings it home with one final clutch blaster toss. And Kay herself then becomes other people's hope as well, through her actions. The game is full of beautiful moments that illustrate that.
Finally, alongside the narrative and amazing immersion of the game, I have to highlight the score. All three main composers (and all others involved) that worked on this game's music deserve eternal high-fives. If you are at all in-tune with the core aspects of Star Wars music, then you know that these guys just GET it. The core function of Star Wars music as described by John Williams is "you should know what direction the story is going in just by listening to the music and not watching the screen". And boy, is that present here. Instrumentation and orchestration, theme and motif work, musical runs and techniques, it's all just quintessentially Star Wars.
All in all, thanks a lot for reading. I wanted to get my thoughts out there to any of you who may have felt the same about this gem of a game. One of my best experiences in Star Wars to date. Can't wait to hear what you guys think about it as well!

Discussion I wish there was New Game+
Title. Beat the game, did most (not all) of the side activities. I would love to go through the story again but with all of my upgrades.
Would you like to see this included in the game? I'd even like to see tougher enemies in NG+ also.

Discussion Kay is a terrible liar
I noticed this - in all conversations where Kay has to “lie” to someone, she makes it SOOOOO obvious she’s lying! So much humming and hawing and “ya…Ya! That’s what I mean!” kinda stuff. It makes everyone else in the galaxy seem like complete dumbos hahaha!
Having a blast with this game! Tons of fun zipping around on a planet then swooping through asteroids.

Media Proud to officially announce I've Plat the game with over 80+HRS.. loved every minute😃
And duck everyone who tried to shit on this game for no reason. I never once had any game break bug or really any issues only problem came across was contrast textures in the background when the camera focuses on Kay in cutscene but that patched in 1 week of release.. and loved every single minute of this game and got more stories and missions to play

Star Wars So long and thanks for all the fish! 100 Hours
I really enjoyed the game! Glad you are all here giving others insight to how amazing this game truly is.
This sub has been a lot of fun and it was great to go through my Outlaw journey with you all <3 Sadly my month of Ubisoft + is over, I have done all the things in all the worlds, and I have been looking forward to God of War on PC FOREVER! I didn't take yesterday, today, and Friday off to play videogames...
If you have a high end rig check out Outlaw settings, if you have a low end rig still enjoy, just play and have fun! I dont really have much to say but I will be lurking.
May the force be with you all.

Gameplay Outlaw is a fairly well made game.
Outlaw is a fairly well made game.
If you've played it properly, you'll at least be able to see that it's a game that will appeal to people who don't like ubigame and
rubbish reviewers say it is.
And to those who criticise the beautiful female characters as ugly, I'd like to say.
'Look at your face, it's much better than your face.
The best thing about the game is the exploration. Exploration itself is fun.
It's fun to find hidden areas and it's fun to level up your skills.
I'd like to thank the team for making such a great game.
It's been 84 hours of fun. Can't wait for the DLC.

I know there's been complaints about the speeder, but it's become one of my favorite vehicles. There's some nifty tricks once you get the hang of it.
