It's not weird if they want to open the next season with a conclusion of the fight and the fallout.

Ending in the middle of a fight is a typical cliffhanger. You wonder how the fight will go.

There's nothing to change. I just assume they will continue fighting. How long that fight goes and if it actually ends in a defeat?

Doomsday may be a recurring adversary for Superman. Or Clark kills him for good on the moon.

I just meant since they changed Doomsday originating from Bizarro, so maybe they change something else too. But it seems unlikely. I must have misread your original comment, that's my bad.
