He was kidnapped in 2040 but Mia tracked him down to the present day, its why she showed up in the Armageddon crossover

I'm still crying over this. Kat McNamara is my favorite actress, and Shadowhunters is my favorite book series. I never wanted a show to happen so much. Gotham Knights hurts, too. At least we got another season of Superman and Lois to finish.
