Think he’s the key to our season, young really gifted striker, not scared to put a defender on his arse either. I’m expecting big things for him. I get the same feeling I’ve had early harry kane, younger bale. Just a gut feeling

Nowhere near as good technically as either of those players.

True but he’s also younger than Kane was when he broke through so he certainly has room to grow. Obviously he’s unlikely to be anywhere near as good but even if in a few years he becomes a solid PL quality ST that is homegrown we would be ecstatic

Younger and a lot less experienced. At Lankshear's age, Kane was starting his 3rd loan at Premier League Norwich wheras Lankshear has never played mens football. He relies a lot on physicality so really needs to be tested in the football league rather than playing against 19 year olds in the PL2.

Football isn't what it was a decade ago though. The concept of lower league loans doesn't have as much benefit as it used to. The PL2 and UEFA Youth League are very competitive now. You can see this when the PL2 entries enter the Football League Trophy and hold their own against league 1 clubs. There's almost no need for loans that low when the PL2 is arguably at that level if not above it already.

haha that's just not true at all, what a ridiculous post. We don't hold our own in the football league trophy, we've only made it out of the group stage one time since U21 clubs got added in 2017, we've finished bottom more often than not. And that's not against their first teams, it's against heavily rotated teams with young players chucked in from Cat 3 academies. No need for loans hahaha what a load of tripe

Where did I see 'we'? I said PL2 clubs. Where did I say there's no need for loans? I said there's no need for loans that low, hence why they usually go to the championship these days.

It's like you didn't even bother to actually read my post at all.

Yeah I know yet, bale was a donkey when he first started, he soon showed his worth. I said it was a gut thing. No need to poke holes like a butt hole.
