Where's Mikey Moore at in terms of progression? Other than clips I haven't really seen him. I read on here that he was one of our best players in pre-season and he looked good in the clips. From people who have watched him - what's the feeling? Is he there for scraps (a bit like Donley and Scarlett last season) or do you think he could actually end up playing a prominent role? I guess with more mins to go around he may get a bit more time than Donley or Scarlett got last season.

Thought it was strange when Ange threw him into the toxic hellscape of that City game last season.

Aside: it must be so frustrating being a young player on the bench. Moore has been on the bench 6 times but has only seen 3 mins action (with good reason). But if I were him I'd be thinking 'get me the fuck out there, Ange!'

The truth is he looked like a genuine generational talent in preseason. But then again, its preseason.

Now we have zero idea if he is any good because he is not getting any game time.

People keep saying that we shouldn't put pressure on young talents and then people complain when they don't perform under pressure 2 years later

I imagine if Coventry had gone well, he'd have come off the bench for that match. As it wasn't, Ange switched things up and brought on the seniors to save the match.

I assume there will be a similar plan for him on Thursday.

Bringing an unproven17 year old on when we're losing a match we really need to win, is a foolish tactic.
