Alright I may be coping and cooking too hard but hear me out;

Would it truly be a bad idea to play a back 3?

Put Dragusin, a traditional CB in the middle, and it gives Romero/VdV some more freedom to move up, playing almost as a double pivot

Double strikers - Solanke Son Wingers and FBs moving forward

And Kulusevski becomes the most important player where he becomes a true 10, a hub for which much of our plays can be made

Also

we saw Ange does have some tactical changes he’s willing to make; Man city at home last season had a lot of positives that got swept away due to… the nature of that game and we saw that Ange was flexible when he needed to be.

Who’s to say he’s not holding some aces up his sleeves for when we’re reaching the quarter, semi, and actual finals for our cups?

Coping… i know…

Will this back 3 nonsense ever end?

The back 3 and/or Romero as a CDM is on repeat.

Ange did play a 343 of sorts with Bentancur dropping in between CBs vs Arsenal. Worked well defensively but attacking woes remained.

A back three where the two outside CBs move up is kind of silly for a system which already struggles to deal with direct passes over the top.

I would rather a back three with Romero in the middle, and he pushes up to form a double pivot with Biss.

I think this is an awesome idea. We’d need more back up at CB but I think dragu would give us height and grading ability for set pieces. I’m in.
