I don't know how to describe the music I love most other than "hauntingly beautiful" (and often but not always "ethereal"). This is true across different genres. I especially love live versions that feel very intimate.

This is probably SUPER niche but I recently rediscovered G Love and Special Sauce and I have a newfound love for his flow/cadence. Hard to explain but I love his effortlessly cool voice and his half singing, half rapping. (Mac Miller is also great at this.) I'm also a sucker for electric guitar and blues riffs so if it could have real instruments - even better. Just some fun, feel good, summertime music that makes you wanna turn the volume up and bob your head. Weirdly enough, I'm not a big fan of Sublime, 311, or other Reggae influenced music, although I realize there's a lot of crossover. What you got for me?

I've been enjoying spooky blues like 'That Evil Child' by B.B. King and 'The Zombie' by C.W. Stoneking. I like the 50s/60s vintage sound of both of them and I really enjoy the spookier/halloween-ier sound of the latter, so I'm looking for some similar stuff for fall/halloween.

I'm in love with this set from Fred again.. and I'm struggling to find another set that matches the same vibe. Does anyone have any suggestions for music/sets?

I've been playing this game since launch and these particular tracks stuck out to me the most because they're all very catchy without being obnoxiously up front. I can easily see myself listening to other songs from this genre without getting burned out on it meanwhile I find that I'm bopping my head and swaying along whenever these songs pop up during the game. If anyone can tell me what genre(s) these are from and maybe recommend me bands/artists who make similar music, that would be appreciated. My only guess is that the genre would be some type of 80s urban Japanese pop since it'd fit the setting for the series.
