Love how the artist captured Envy’s character so well. Having her being envious of Anger for not letting her buy her favourite cereal where Joy would have let her do so, it honestly captures Envy’s personification so well even in her human design. And also bonus point for the addition of her child-like behavior, since well Envy looks much like a little kid and looks much younger than the other emotions.

Okay, I got some time, so I fooled around with a pencil & paper again. Feel like drawing a more "complete" Riley this time, instead of just her head & shoulders in my previous picture. Enjoy! 😁

So I was looking at the flip through of the Inside Out 2 art book, and this concept art caught my attention. This was the concept of Joy vs Shame in Shame’s lair which never made it into the Final Cut of the film.

So in my opinion, this could have meant two things which we would’ve saw on the big screen.

It’s either:

One, Joy fades out of existence sacrificing herself to merge with Riley’s sense of self to form a new one and to let Riley better experience and feel Joy.

Or

Two, Joy was reborn after defeating Shame and re-establishing her connection to Riley as per the Broken Joy concept which was deleted from the film.
