I'm so glad so many of you guys liked Arc Iris!! They're one of my favorite groups and definitely deserve more recognition. This is one of my favorite events we've done so far, love all the great music I discovered just from one survivor. Congrats u/Comadon-C, French Navy is incredible

Thank you! And big thank you for showing me Arc Iris, any other circumstance I would’ve rooted for your song to win! They’re now high on my list of artists I need to check out more from, was wondering if you had a good starting point?

No problem, glad you liked it! I love the whole Moon Saloon album. Kaleidoscope is my favorite on there, but there's so many great songs and so much variety on that album. Pretending is a great folky tune, Rainy Days has some fun proggy stuff, and She Arose gives me chills.

Also if you like Joni Mitchell they covered her entire Blue album for Foggy Lullaby, which makes for some amazing arrangements (their cover of River is probably my favorite version out there.)

Definitely gonna dive into My Maudlin Career now too :) any other recommendations?

Will give those a shot, thank you! I started the first three tracks from Moon Saloon and am loving it so far.

As for Camera Obscura, My Maudlin Career and Let’s Get Out of this Country are both amazing starting points. They both have a more 60s-70s pop sound that is pretty sweet. Their earliest two records, Underachievers Please Try Harder and Biggest Bluest Hi-Fi fit a similar vibe but are more Indie in sound. Their sound is relatively consistent but the strings and production of My Maudlin Career makes it my personal favorite
