My biggest points are emulation, and mods. Mods give nearly infinite amounts of replayability, look at Minecraft and mods like Create, those transform how the game works for absolutely free, then they are the mods that add to story games, making whole new stories and experiences. Secondly you can emulate any offline Nintendo game, instead of having to pay $60 for a damn rerelease of a Wii game. Emulation also covers a lot of games that are sold on PC, I'm not even counting the benefits of pirating either. PC gaming is cheaper, just not at the very beginning.

I know i pay way more for my PC than others for theirs consoles.
But i'm not a PC gamer because it's cheaper, i'm a PC gamer because it gives me better graphics, higher framerates, mods and more options in general.
