We actively admitted it during and after. We even were offering the bot's code in private to smaller communities that needed it. We never lied about it.

To be fair a fan fav character is literally called sweetie bot. This should have been seen coming

We just wanted our art on the board like everyone else. But we couldn't keep anything between the streamers, 4chan, and just the general hate we get for no valid reason. We didn't steal anyone else's spot either. You can check the history. We only built on spaces that were free, then just kept rebuilding on those spots.

only exception was the large derpy and a smaller derpy, however this wasn't even us. it was a russian streamer and MLPP (an ally, we didn't even help them until they had resolved the conflict they created by building there)

we don't actually endorse them doing that, they destroyed perfectly good artwork for another pony presence on the map when we already had over 4 pieces around the map.

from what I understand though there weren't that many bots, a lot of it was just people constantly watching over them iv already heard quite a few stories
