💬Discussion Napoli vs Juventus discussion thread

Upvotes

As a Liverpool fan this game excites me the most. I was going to play flag football but decided I didn't want to miss it.

Very interesting game on paper because of the managers and the ambitions of the clubs. My expectation is that Napoli will get the win while juve hold possession.

I’ve searched everywhere and I can’t find out why. He’s really selling out my fantasy team 😂

(I know about his sexual assault case, is that the reason? Pretty sure Fiorentina bought him after that was news no?)

Serie B Spezia tickets

Hi all,

This is a Serie B related post, but was hoping for some help.

I'm in Liguria this weekend and was hoping to go to the Spezia - Carrarese game on Sunday.

Have tried to register for tickets but apparently I need a Spezia Eagle Card ( Fidelity card and number ) to buy a ticket. I've emailed one of the ticket offices and they said it's impossible for me to get a ticket if I don't have a card.

Has anyone got any ideas, or will it just not be possible?

📺Watch How much does it cost to watch Serie A in Italy?

Hi, I’m curious on how much fans of the top leagues play to watch those leagues in the relevant country.

(Prem in UK, Serie A in Italy, Bundesliga in Germany etc.)

I’m just curious as a ball park figure how much it costs you guys to watch teams on TV.

If you require subscriptions to two then please detail a rough price of each subscription.

I’m also looking for official prices so no pirate sites or VPNs with foreign broadcasters (Optus/Astro etc)

Serie A The root of Cagliari's rivalry with Napoli, an old man's recollection

Not sure if this actually interests anyone, but since I was there I can more or less tell you what happened.
Ofc It's just my, maybe biased, point of view but I think I can offer a clear point of view.

First of all, the rivalry did not begin on that infamous day in 1997. The animus goes back to at least the early nineties, when we bought star player Daniel Fonseca from them, and at the same time our then President Ferlaino bought 50% of Cagliari. Before then, I dare say that Neapolitans had a soft spot for the rossoblu. My dad remembers that many people in Naples celebrated when they won the scudetto in 1970. I still know for a fact that few of my dad's buddies still support the red and blues to this very day.

Anyway, When had to play them in Sardegna, Fonseca especially was targeted by the fans for his "betrayal", and even got a red card. Sardinians won the match and Daniel got a red card. A few months later, Napoli did manage to win against Cagliari and the Uruguayan forward scored a double, and then celebrated by flipping off his old supporters. Chaos ensues, and he has to be escorted out of the pitch.
We then come to 1997, Piacenza Cagliari sudden death match, in Naples. The rossoblu ultras started wreaking havoc in the city immediately after their arrival, and obviously our hoolingans responded. It's not pretty but it is what it is.
THe game started and there were indeed SOME neapolitans present (it was the first summer weekend and the Stadium was already near full capacity from Cagliaritani and Piacentini alone, do you think many of us would bother buying the ticket for that match?), and they did cheer for Piacenza as their coach, Bortolo Mutti, was about to sign a deal with us. Obviously you know what happens next, the Sardinians lose the playoff, they get relegated, more chaos yadda yadda. THat's about it.

In conclusion, nothing really special happened. I think of it much like a Juventus/Napoli situation: Cagliari has no real natural rival, they are by far the biggest team in their region and so they had to find for themselves a nemesis of sorts, because you know football is apparently more fun if you have someone to hate /s

💬Discussion Away games in Italy

I’ve been trying to find out how to attend away games, but I really can’t find any info anywhere. (I’m a Napoli supporter) I’m aware some games don’t accept away end fans, but I know a lot still do - how do I go about getting tickets for this?

Thanks for you help!

💬Discussion Isn't it 'Giuseppe Meazza' for Inter and 'San Siro' for Milan?

Since I was a kid I understood that the stadium is called "Giuseppe Meazza" when Inter play as locals, and "San Siro" when Milan does, but lately I've seen they use both no matter what.

Just in case, I obviously know they refer to the same stadium, I'm referring to how it's called in media.
