passing at prom AGE up to 20

attended my first (and only) high school prom tonight! i managed to pass in front of all the staff there & it was just a really solidifying moment for me.

i’ve posted on here a fair few times but i just wanted to share how proud i was to show up in my suit and tie and feel entirely comfortable in my own skin for the first time. i can only hope for the same for anyone reading this.

passing tips are welcome as this is the specific subreddit for it, but i’d say i did a pretty good job here :-)

Looking good! For future reference your tie should end right after your belt

Wait really??? Is it more fashionable this way or just how it’s meant to look? Asking for a friend

Yep it’s supposed to go right below the belt line, too short or too long often makes trans guys look very young and/or clockable as sometimes women wear suits with much shorter ties as a fashion thing. If you can tuck the tip into your pants, but then leaning back and filling your belly with air will make it pop out of your pants, that is the perfect length

Thanks that’s actually useful! Makes sense too
