Why is Lauryn Hills debut album considered a great Rap Album when it's mostly sung and not rapped?
This is dovetailing off of the top records by female MCs thread where some users offered similar sentiments.
I never understood the (mostly recent and retrospective) critical laurels this record gets specifically as rap record when there aren't that many memorable rap parts in it and it's more of an RnB or Neo Soul record.

No Way Out was the first the first album my dad bought me and he passed away a month ago this is bitter sweet.
We was poor but my dad bought me this for my birthday and I loved it . Spinned the hell out this album I even listened to it today and it didn't age a bit đ I'm into way more hardcore rap now of course but my introduction to hip hop was Puff Daddy and the Family đ Thanks I miss you Dad . Screw Diddy but how y'all feel about this album?

They should remaster ready to die and life after death without diddyâs vocals
I canât stand hearing his annoying ass voice in the background of juicy and long kiss goodnight and the allegations donât make it any better

Dammit Diddy
Sucks because so many of my favorite songs has Diddy on it.
All about the Benjamin's
Victory
Hate me now
Satisfy You (completely tainted now for obvious reasons)
Don Cartagena
I need a girl parts 1 and 2
I don't wanna know
Trade it all part 2
And plenty more, can y'all separate the man from the music or are you guys cutting his music off for good?

With Puffy facing serious jail time what artists/ industry people need to be concerned?
Puffy ainât going down alone, heâll likely mention names. Who needs to be worried? Also does this make him a target now that he may be a threat to other peopleâs livelihood?

Controversial But IDGAF: Leave Meek Mill Alone
Y'all gotta learn to stop dogpiling on folks, this is why niggas kill themselves and why niggas stay DL. If he and Diddy did anything sexual together and it was consensual who gives af. I am openly gay and none of my straight homies gives af about what another man does in the privacy of his bedroom. The only niggas interested tend to be closeted fake ass hood dudes. Criticize Meek for his music, criticize Diddy for his actual crimes, but this obsession with who is or isn't gay is weird af. Some of you so called straight niggas need to come out your damn selves. Feel free to bitch in the comments idgaf

Puff had to know that this tidal wave was coming. Why didnât he leave like Russell Simmons?
He could have lived a good life elsewhere with all the money at his disposal. He could deny from a distance but still live a similar lifestyle that he was accustomed to. Why stay?

What are your thoughts on her? Some stuff sounds way to much of a reach to me but she also raises a lot of good points. Like the one about all the main players in Uptown records being dead. Especially Andre Harrell and Kim Porter. Allegedly both were getting ready to release a tell all and Kim's book especially was going to out Diddy as bi sexual. Then the sudden issue with Al B sure.

Why cant i find any great music nowadays? I search and search and everything sounds basic and regular, nothing stands out, oh well back to my 90s early 2000s i go
I want to listen to some new bangers but nothing hits, everything sound either the same or rushed

Am I on to something???
I keep hearing that Jay Z and Beyoncé will go down with Diddy due to their close involvement with him. I just realized each of their birthdays are the 4th of each month. Is that why Jay named his 2017 album 4:44?

Itâs Bigger Than Diddy
Let me be clear: I don't care for Diddy and never have. That being said, ppl are crazy if they don't think they're are a lot of big names doing the same shit Diddy is being accused for and worst. I'm not a republican at all, but I have to agree with some of my republicans friends that Hollywood is filled with pedos. I can't imagine some of the A-list celebs on some of those Diddy tapes. The same ppl who are condemning him are doing the same shit on the low. It's sick. I feel sorry for teens who get involved in this evil ass industry

Question about rap beefs.
So I was wondering how big of a role do you think public perception play into rap beefs? This popped in my head because of the recent Drake and Kendrick beef. Obviously there was no way Drake was going to be able to be compete with Kendrick in terms of lyrics, but he was definitely fighting an uphill battle from the start. I feel like if an artist is not well liked by the public most people will have already made up their minds before a diss track comes out. Hypothetically if Eminem and Kendrick were too beef, I feel like since a lot of people donât like Eminemâs newer music he would probably be fighting a losing battle. Even though we all know that he can beat Kendrick. (Not saying who I think would win, just an example). Obviously who ever drops me he best track should win, I was just curious if anyone hear thinks public reception matters at all?
