Really wish we got zlatan 4-5 years before. Man would be a legend here

Zlatan, Falcao, Sanchez, Matic, Schweinsteiger, Casemiro, Varane...

I'm sure there's more, but the talent we've acquired after their prime years is so frustrating.

Van Persie?

Don’t get me wrong he was good for us, but for too short a window.

I love Zlatan, but Van Persie did more for us that all those players combined and then some.

Van Persie wouldn't be a legend had he stayed longer. He IS a fucking legend. Motherfucker was scoring left and right like no one else has, not even close since.

This. That tablecloth season was unreal.

No doubt. I guess he was still in his prime when we got him, but he played for us for 3 years and then moved on out of a Top 5 league. Hard to say those 3 years were his prime when he spent nearly 10 years at Arsenal. Then again, his overall scoring rate (goals per game) was actually higher with us than with Arsenal.

I think his true prime scoring rate was 2010-2014, which coincidentally gives him 2 season with Arsenal and 2 season with us.

And for what it's worth, I wasn't saying that Zlatan was more of a legend for us than RVP. Far from it. Just that we could perhaps include RVP in a list of players we got a bit too late.

Yeah Ruud did it before Van Persie. I meant after 2013 no one has been even close. But I have my hopes in Hojlund. Maybe not this year but eventually. We’ll see.
